I'm getting excited to take my WFR class tomorrow despite the fact that the high is going to be 24 and the wind chill could bring it down to -30. Good thing I'll be with a bunch of folks learning how to handle medical emergencies in the wilderness. This training is an important part of what makes The Venture Out Project a safe and inclusive space for our participants. We take your physical and emotional safety very seriously and do all we can to ensure that you never have an incident while on course, but on the off chance something does happen, we'll be well-equiped to take care of you.
Stay tuned for photos and updates from my course. 80 hours of medical training here I come!
