Do you remember the first place you went hiking and how old were you: As a child, I would easily wonder through forests alone, lose my barring and find my way home again. I have fond memories when visiting in northeastern Oklahoma.

What is your favorite outdoor recreation activity: Being. I like being in wild spaces, no matter how I get there, it is a place of restoration for me.

What is the best trip you've ever been on: Probably hiking Eagle Creek in the Columbia River Gorge for the umpteenth time.

Where is your favorite place to recreate: Eagle Creek…before the fire.

What is your absolute favorite piece of outdoor gear: My winter gloves that keep my hands warm or my watch that keeps my phone out of my hands.

Waterbottle or Hydration Bladders (Camelbacks): Water bottles are so easy!

Down or synthetics sleeping bags: There is not much down in the bargain basement.

If you were stranded on a deserted island - what three items would you want: Tools to make fires with ease; a net to keep bugs away and to catch fish; chocolate.

A place you dream of backpacking some day: Patagonia

What does it mean to you to recreate with other queer folks: Recreate means - to take part in activities that are mentally or physically refreshing. This doesn’t exist for me without queer folks.
