Join Travis and Tam for a long weekend of nature connection  and experiencing the healing power of the Forest in a supportive Queer Community.  Spending time connecting with nature has been medically proven to treat stress-related illnesses.  From increased cerebral blood flow to stronger immune defenses, there is loads of research about what happens when we relax, unplug and open our senses to the natural world.  Taking time to hit the reset button by slowing down in a natural setting can not only reduce stress and lower cortisol levels but it can also increase overall energy and wellbeing.

Tam Willey of Toadstool Walks is a Certified Forest Therapy Guide from Boston, Massachusetts.  Toadstool Walks offer slow-paced guided wanderings that promote wellness through a series of gentle sensory-opening invitations that welcome us to notice more of our natural surroundings. This is a practice inspired by Shinrin-Yoku, a term coined in Japan in the 1980’s, which translates to Forest Bathing and is a prominent feature of preventative medicine and healing in Japan.  Forest Therapy is part of a global effort to tend to the stressful conditions of living in modern industrialized civilization.  Toadstool Walks offer support in finding one’s own way towards experiencing belonging to the natural world.  This is a chance to relax, restore, rejuvenate, recharge, heal, connect and recollect, whether that means unplugging for a bit, sleeping in or taking more time to rest, relaxing in the hot tub, journaling, storytelling, or just being, this retreat is intended to hold space for that.  There will be a daily schedule of offerings, all of which are optional.

This is an ALL-INCLUSIVE Retreat.

  • 3 nights in your own bed in a large 6 bedroom house with 3 additional living room common areas.  The house is located close to the Columbia River Gorge overlooking Mount Hood and the Cascades.
  • Home Cooked Vegetarian Meals and Snacks (Starting with dinner on Friday and ending with brunch on Monday).
  • Daily Forest Bathing Programming with Tam of Toadstool Walks.
  • Additional Optional Activities: hiking, hot tub soaking, evening storytelling, morning sun salutations, journaling, downtime, stargazing and more.

All you have to bring is you, exactly as you are.
