Queer Youth Trail Work Day on the Bay Circuit Trail (Ages 12-22)

Love your trails!

Join The Venture Out Project and OUT MetroWest for a special day of giving back to the trails!

The Bay Circuit Trail (BCT) is a permanent recreation trail and greenway extending through 37 towns in Eastern Massachusetts, linking parks and open spaces in fifty-seven Boston area communities.

Volunteers will take on a variety of work projects. In past years, volunteers have installed rock water bars and step stones, built wooden bog bridges, cleared miles of trail corridor, installed trailhead kiosks and signposts, removed invasive plants, cut new sections of trail, and more!

Bring your own lunch, water, snacks, long pants (for leg projection, even if it’s hot), sturdy hiking boots, and other weather-appropriate clothing. We will run this event rain or shine! The AMC Trail Crew Leaders will provide personal protective equipment, tools, instruction, and supervision.

This volunteering event is open to queer, trans, and LGBTQ+ youth and young adults ages 12-22.

No experience necessary.

Exact location will depend on the needs and condition of the trail, and will be announced at least a month in advance of this event.
