Fall Foliage Hike - Devil's Lake - Wisconsin

Join us to experience queer community and nature's beauty at the peak of fall color in southern Wisconsin for a beautiful 2 mile day hike at Devil's Lake State Park. Please note that in addition to stunning views, this hike features about 500ft of elevation gain and several steep inclines on rocky bluffs. Exact trail and meetup information will be provided to registered participants only.

This event is for ages 18+ and intended for the LGBTQIA+ community. Please register yourself for more details!



GENERAL INFO

Location: Baraboo, WI (Hoocąk (Ho-Chunk), Kiikaapoi (Kickapoo), Myaamia, and Očhéthi Šakówiŋ lands)
Parking: There are multiple free parking lots near the trailhead. Parking can fill quickly, please give yourself some extra time to arrive!
Hike: 2.1 miles, 500 ft elevation gain
Pets: Pets are welcome at this event! Pets must remain on-leash and be friendly to other dogs/pets that may show up at the event.

Cost:
To access the state park, there is a daily fee of $13 (for Wisconsin residents) unless you have a park pass.
Bring: Wearing good, sturdy hiking shoes with traction for the rocky areas, and multiple layers for the potentially shifting fall temps/sun exposure. Also make sure to bring plenty of water and a snack for the hike. Also recommended - bringing a lunch to eat following the hike.

COVID SAFETY

Masks are not required during this event, however they are welcomed if wearing one allows you to better engage with the group. PLEASE be mindful of your own and group safety. If you or anyone in your household are not feeling well, do not participate in this event.
