Trail Run with East Bay Queer Run Club - California

Trail Run with East Bay Queer Run Club - California

June 14, 2026 —8:45am - 11:30am PT
Last day to register: June 12, 2026

This event is free to attend, with optional donations welcomed.

Join us for a 3 mile trail run in the Oakland Hills in collaboration with East Bay Queer Run Club! The trail will climb up through willows and oaks until we reach the volcanic ridge line where we will enjoy beautiful views of Wildcat Canyon and Round Top (a 10 million year old inactive volcano!) This run will have 425 feet of elevation gain with a mix of rocky single track and wider gravel trails. Afterwards, we will have some snacks to share together at the trailhead. The trailhead has flush toilets, picnic tables, drinking fountains and an interpretive exhibit.

This event is open to runners of all levels. The run will be no-drop, meaning that no one will be left behind, and the group will stay together at all times. We will take walking breaks as needed, especially on the hills.

We will meet at the trailhead at 8:45am and leave for the run at 9am so we can beat the heat!

We ask folks under the age of 18 to please register themselves and an adult to accompany them.

  • Information for our land acknowledgment was gathered from nativeland.ca, which provides an estimate of original indigenous land occupation, but does not take into account migratory patterns or movement of the many surrounding communities. We recognize the historical complexity of indigenous movement across the land, and honor with gratitude the many, many surviving native nations whose land we benefit from in our work to diversify the outdoors.
