Join us for a Big Sky Out x The Venture Out Project event at Winter Pride 2026!

We will be going on a leisurely group cross-country ski with fellow queer and trans folks through the beautiful scenery of Big Sky. All skill levels welcome as long as you feel comfortable enough on your skis to enjoy yourself.

We ask folks under the age of 18 to please register themselves and an adult to accompany them.
If you require a service dog to attend, please let us know and we’ll collaborate with you on how to keep you both comfortable and hydrated at this event.



GENERAL INFO

Location: Big Sky area, MT (Cheyenne, Salish, Blackfeet, Cayuse, Umatilla, and Walla Walla lands)
Parking: Free limited-space parking lot at the event site - carpooling is recommended!
Pets: While we love pets, we ask that furry friends who are not service animals remain at home for this adventure. Tell them we said hi!

Cost:
Participants cover the cost of their own equipment rentals. Rental discounts will be available through Gallatin Alpine Sports for Winter Pride. You are also welcome to bring your own equipment from home!

Other than potential rental equipment costs, this event is completely free to access! We welcome donations of any amount, which help us continue to provide these programs. We appreciate your support and your contribution!
Bring: Water, snacks, warm layers, cross country skis, poles, and boots

COVID SAFETY

Masks are not required during this event, however they are welcomed if wearing one allows you to better engage with the group. PLEASE be mindful of your own and group safety. If you or anyone in your household are not feeling well, do not participate in an event.
