Queer Backcountry Ski Trip: Colorado (Waitlist)

Queer Backcountry Ski Trip: Colorado

March 3-6, 2022

Ahhh, Colorado … beautiful in the summer AND winter months! TVOP's first backcountry ski trip is at the Bluebird Backcountry Ski Area; beginner-to-advanced friendly, bring your own gear OR rent from the mountain! We'll spend our days at the mountain and our nights warming up at a local airbnb, where we’ll spend time cooking and playing games. Could there be a hot spring soak in your future? You decide. We'll shuttle to the mountain together each day. Day passes not included (est. $80-$120 additional cost); gear rentals (est. $60-$90 additional cost) and lessons available at the mountain.

Please note: While this is not a sober trip, it’s also not a party trip. If you choose to drink, please drink responsibly.

Why does this trip cost money?
We do our best to keep our trips affordable, but the reality is there are a lot of costs associated with leading an outdoor trip. This includes, but is not limited to: permits, camping fees, insurance, workers’ comp, gear depreciation, instructor compensation (all of our instructors are queer), food (including accommodations for special diets), and more. Scholarships are available to any participant for whom cost is a barrier.
